This training is designed for mental health professionals and students interested in expanding their therapeutic toolkit, including clinical counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, art therapists, mental health nurses & physicians, clinical social workers, and other qualified helping professionals.

More Than a Lecture: Learn by Doing

Whether you're new to Tarot or already familiar with the cards, this workshop explores how imagery can support self-reflection, emotional processing, parts work, and meaning-making in counselling. This is a hands-on, experiential training designed for therapists who want to explore new ways of working beyond traditional talk therapy.

This is not a training in divination or prediction. It's about working with symbolic imagery as a therapeutic resource.

What You'll Learn

Effective Clinical Skills

Drawing on Jungian psychology, archetypal imagery, image-based projective techniques, and a biopsychosocial-spiritual approach, you'll learn how to incorporate these tools confidently through hands-on practice. Participate in facilitated dyadic exercises, taking turns exploring imagery from the perspectives of therapist and client.

Ethics & Documentation

Understand how to maintaining professional and ethical standards when using imagery & Tarot in the therapy room. Ask questions and exchange ideas. Engage in discussion about clinical applications, boundaries, ethical considerations, and documentation.

Research & Psychological Underpinnings

Through didactic psychoeducation, learn the main psychological underpinnings in Western psychology, the research & evidence supporting the use of Tarot, oracle and guided imagery in your clinical practice.

Network & Earn CEC’s

Whether you’re new to Tarot or well-versed, meet other woo-curious, unconventional and psychospiritual therapists from around the world through breakout rooms and discussion. Earn 2.5 Continuing Education Credits credits if you’re a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.

Meet Your Facilitator

Laura Cohen, MA, RCT, CCC

Laura is a Registered Counselling Therapist licensed in Nova Scotia, Canada and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. With her 9 years of experience as a therapist, she brings an integrative approach to mental health bringing together evidence-based psychotherapy and career & depth psychology, as well as transpersonal and spiritually-informed frameworks.

Her clinical interests include archetypal imagery, active imagination, parts work, mindfulness, and experiential approaches to counselling.

Through her workshops, Laura aims to bridge psychological theory with creative and reflective practices, helping clinicians integrate unconventional tools into their work responsibly and confidently.
